Greystone/Korean Blue Celadon

“ There is one spectacle grander than the sea, that is the sky;
there is one spectacle grander than the sky, that is the interior of the soul. ”

-Victor Hugo

This blue glaze is a traditional Korean Blue Celadon recipe.
Often used on moon vases, I have grown to love it on other shapes as well
because it is reminiscent of coastal sea shores and landscapes in the fall, early in the morning when the colors are muted and soothing but still bright.
Hamptons, Montauk, Nantucket, Maine, Big Sur, Knokke, Brittany, Cornwall ... come to mind.
