The Plateau Bowl is a pair of urchin bowls that fit inside one another and mimic the double bubble as observed in Plateau's laws. " Plateau's laws describe the structure of soap films. These laws were formulated in the 19th century by the Belgian physicist and mathematician Joseph Plateau from his experimental observations. Many patterns in nature are based on foams obeying these laws " - via Wikipedia

Each pair will vary in size ... but they are approximately 5" in diameter and 4" tall.

Use these as trinket bowls ... or as mini sculptures or objets d'art.

Each piece is unique and might have some size / clay / glaze variations such as specs, beauty marks, little pin holes, tiny craters (like travertine or marble), some barely visible micro fissures (which do not affect the strength or durability of the piece), crackling glaze and some warping which is part of the artisanal nature of our process and part of the outcome.
